Oscar Javier Rojas Munoz

He received a PhD in Ocean, Atmosphere, Climate and Space Observations from Université Paris-Saclay in 2021. He is a research scientist at Météo-France/CNRM since 2022, working on land surface modelling and data assimilation within the SURFEX-LDAS-Monde system. His most recent works concern the assimilation of satellite-derived LAI and soil moisture, and the evaluation and validation of several Essential Climate Variables (ECVs). His research interests include land–atmosphere exchange processes, the use of remote sensing for land surface modelling, and the representation of vegetation and hydrological dynamics in climate models.
