Alejandra VELAZQUEZ GARCIA

During my engineering studies, I worked with measurements of greenhouse gases (GHGs) emitted in the agricultural fields of the North Wyke Farm Platform - Rothamsted Research in England. This allowed me to gain experience in climate change, data management, and spatial statistics with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In 2019, I decided to pursue a doctorate in Earth Science. During my thesis I analyse long-term in situ measruments of aerosol micropysical, optical and chemical properties performed in the #ATOLL platform in Northern France. I acquired programming and scientific communication skills, mass spectrometry and optical instruments knwodlege (ACSM, AE33, Nephelometer Ecotech, SMPS), problem-solving, and autonomy. Currently, I am working at the National Meteterogical Research Center (#CNRM #Météo-France #CNRS), studying the evolution of light-absorbing aerosol properties and their effects on climate with airborne in situ measurements (SP2, CAPS, Nephelometer TSI, CPC, OPC, SMPS, UHSAS, mini CCN, HTDMA, offline methods).
